Submissions
This blog is sort of open to submissions.
You’ll notice that I sometimes review small press and self-published books on this blog. Most of the time, these are books I have purchased. But the presence of such reviews occasionally leads to new authors/publishers asking me to review their titles. I have limited time in which to read for pleasure, so I often say no to these requests. The exception is when a book has such a greak hook that I’m, well, hooked.
Bear in mind that different things appeal to different people. So, before asking me to review your book, please familiarise yourself with this blog and get to know my tastes.
Here’s how to submit:
1. Tell me briefly about your book. A title and teaser will do.
2. If the book attracts me, I will ask you to email me the first chapter.
3. If I like how the book gets rolling, I will ask you to post me a paperback. Digital book files, such as PDFs, ebooks, are not acceptable. Be prepared to sacrifice an actual physical book if you want a review. And be prepared for an honest review.
